The hardest part of any family reunion is saying "goodbye." After the laughs and hugs, the silly games, fabulous food, and all that catching up, you'll want to keep each precious memory close to your heart. There are lots of fun ways to share the magic of a family reunion. With a little planning and today's readily available technology, you'll find it's easier than ever to stay in touch and even to plan the next reunion. This final installment of our three-part series offers resourceful ways to keep family bonds strong until the next time you're all together again.

GET A HEAD START

There are lots of ways to capture all the cherished moments of a family reunion. A classic photo album is fine, but a photo CD album is easy--and inexpensive--to share. If food is an important part of your festivities, consider a family recipe book. Or you can make a reunion video that captures all the sound and action of the big event.

Whatever you decide to do, planning is key. Having a specific goal in mind well before the reunion takes place ensures that the finished project is something everyone can enjoy and treasure for years. Select a chief media coordinator and enlist some volunteers to help out. Recruit those tech-savvy kids who are comfortable with digital cameras and computers, and who can help download photos and videos for editing. Getting kids involved is a terrific way to have them be part of the event.
